London Youth Rowing begins sessions at River Academy
Cordelia Vesely from London Youth Rowing comes to River Academy to run an indoor rowing club for students as part of the Thames Valley Active Row programme! On top of the sessions already offered by Reading Rowing Club, Cordelia will allow more students to get involved in rowing.
Open to anyone between the ages of 11–18 all year round, London Youth Rowing encourages our students to build fitness, community and strength, using the rowing machines in our Activity Studio on a Monday after school. Although not always on the River Thames, we are sure to bring the River (Academy) spirit.
Cordelia will also be giving our students the opportunity to attend the summer On Water Festival at Reading Rowing Club on 10th July 2026, as well as LYR's annual National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships in London in March 2027! Whether wanting to challenge or enjoy themselves, this is an extraordinary offer for our students to have.
We look forward to continuing this brilliant extracurricular activity for more of our fantastic River students to join.
