Language for Behaviour and Emotions
Language for Behaviour and Emotions is small group Speech & Language support intervention which uses the Language for Behaviour and Emotions resource. It allows for group discussions focusing on vocabulary; non-literal or higher-level language; narrative; understanding & answering questions; problem solving. Students are identified for this intervention through their presentation with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. The intended outcome is improvement in emotions vocabulary, non-literal language, ability to re-tell a narrative, ability to understand, interpret and answer questions related to social scenarios, using assessments and a self-rating scale.
