GOVERNANCE

River Academy will have a School Advisory Board (SAB) responsible for local governance of the school. This will initially be chaired by a Trustee and will be accountable to the Maiden Erlegh Trust Board. We will recruit SAB members as much as possible from the local and relevant business communities.

Members of the Trust and SAB members will meet regularly with the Headteacher and school staff in order to provide both challenge and support for the school. They will act as critical friends to the school.
