Welcome to River Academy - The First Step of the Journey

We are delighted that your child will be joining us in September! We will shortly begin preparing for our induction day in July 2024 so that we can greet our new students in person, and give them a small taster of what their time at River Academy will be like! 

Liaison with Primary Schools

Our transition team will shortly begin liaising with our feeder primary schools to arrange for us to visit your child’s current class teacher so that we can begin the process of getting to know each of our students as individuals. Where possible, we’ll be sure to say ‘hello’ to the pupils who will be joining us, too.

Induction Day

Our induction day for students will be on Tuesday 9 July.  We will send more information about this event to parents in due course.

Year 7 Parents' Information Evening

On Wednesday 10 July we will be holding an information evening for our parents.  This event will take place at Rivermead Leisure Centre which is right next to the new school.  More information about this event will be sent to parents in due course.

We will certainly keep you informed and up-to-date about the transition process; we are looking forward to meeting you and your child soon!
